Tadalac is a 175 year old farm house, with wide natural pine plank floors and walls. It is situated close to the Saguenay ferry wharf, on two acres of lawn and birch trees, with 300 feet of lake front.
The house has five bedrooms – 1 queen – 2 double and 2 with twin beds. Each bedroom has a sink with hot and cold water. There is a large living room and dining area with a fireplace and electric baseboard heating. The kitchen was recently renovated. The house has two bathrooms, with shower downstairs and bathtub upstairs. There is no TV, but we do have a telephone, radio and CD player, WiFi, and a gas BBQ outside.
The path on the other side of the lake is a short woodsie walk to Anse a la Barque, a sheltered cove on the Saguenay. It also offers a good hike up the mountain for a scenic view of Tadoussac, the lake, the mouth of the Saguenay and the St. Lawrence.
It’s an easy walk from Tadalac to anywhere in the village, and a great place to use as a base for exploring the region.
